Welcome to NovaSearaNova.com, an initiative
of The Nova Seara Colective, dedicated to fostering the development of a global community of Lasting Peace, Economic and Educational
Development and Social Justice, as a catalyst for the creation of an active, informed and effective non-violent resistance
to tyranny, poverty, hunger, corruption and ignorance.
Our guiding principles are exactly the same as those, which together with
the tide of Facism/Nazism/"New Statetism", in Europe, drove our forefathers to publish the first issue of SEARA
NOVA in 1921, as their way to finally give effect to the empowerment of the Third Estate: WE, THE PEOPLE; solemnly granted by the King's Council of Leiria, Portugal, in the year 1254.
Their aspirations were thought to have been met when, after a massive public demonstration
at the United Nations Headquarters, on the first anniversary of the Portuguese Revolution of 25 April, 1974, over 15,000 Portuguese
citizens living in the Diaspora: in the US; Canada; and, Bermudas, peacefully assembled to demand free
elections to select a Constituent Assembly to draft, enact and implement, the first Democratic Constitution or Charter for
Portugal since the Battle of al-Ksar Qibir, four centuries earlier.
Exactly one year later, on the 25th of April, 1976, we voted to create the Constituent
Assembly, rejoiced and stepped back to see others carry on the struggle. In 1979, after the completion of fifty seven and
a half years of constant battling to overcome the injustices of the Estado Novo mentality, we stopped publishing. Clearly, that was a mistake, on our part.
Just how big a mistake we had made was brought home to all of us on the 4th of December, 1980, when the airplane
flying the Chief Architect of the New Portuguese Republic, Prime Minister Francisco Sa Carneiro, his pilot, his life partner,
Snu, and his Chief of Staff, Patricio Gouveia, was blasted out of the air while flying to the final rally of the Majority
Party, on the eve of the first Free Presidential Elections since 1917.
For those of us in the Diaspora, it became crystally clear on November 4, when the flight the flight from San
Luis Potosi to Mexico City, carrying the Chief of Staff of the President of the United States of Mexico and the Special Attorney
General for the War on the Cartels, and their aides and associates, was blasted out of the air, over the statute of the Archangel
on the Paseo de La Reforma, while they were on their way to celebrate the election of Barack Obama, as President of the United
States.
For those of us who knew JOSE LUIS SANTIAGO VASCONCELOS only as a far too distant relative, as the Patriarch
of all the MERCEDES FAMILIES in North America and the Faria de Vasconcelos de Oliveira Families, in particular; a worthy torchbearer
for truth and justice in the Mold of the author of The Cosmic Race, JOSE VASCONCELOS CALDERON; and, as the Drug
Cartel's Public Enemy Number 1, the message was again crystal clear; and received.
We will therefore begin publishing e-SEARA NOVA, as a
quarterly e-ZINE starting with Issue No. 1, on 4 November, 2009, as our attempt to fight the rising tide of Narco Kleptic
Theocrats bound for Hell and committed to destroying everything and everybody that doesn't submit and become a supplicant
accessory.
